Pigeon River Fund Provides Grants to Protect Waterways
Foundation: Community Foundation of Western North Carolina
Eleven grants have been awarded by the Pigeon River Fund of The Community Foundation of WNC to environmental groups.
The fund was created to mitigate environmental impacts as a result of the Waterville hydroelectric dam.
This round of Haywood County grant recipients include: $35,000 to Mountain Housing Opportunities to enhance the stormwater design at its aBalsam Edge housing development.
